CBI SA: good results in 2021 and promising prospects for 2022

The shareholders of Coris Bank International SA (CBI SA) held their Ordinary General Meeting on Thursday April 07, 2022 in Ouagadougou. It emerged that Coris Bank International SA with its Niger branch continued its development and recorded good results with regard to the performance indicators at the end of the 2021 financial year.

According to the press release published at the end of the 2022 AGO of the shareholders of Coris Bank International SA (CBI SA), the commercial activity of the Bank made it possible to mobilize during the 2021 financial year, 222.8 billion FCFA of additional outstandings, i.e. 22% annual growth, thus bringing the consolidated outstandings to 1234.5 billion FCFA including 1156.5 billion FCFA for Coris Bank International SA.

« These figures also consolidate the bank’s leading position in the financing of the national economy with a market share of 22.7%, » says the bank, leader in Burkina Faso with a 20.6% market share.

It should be noted that the Bank also ranks 4th out of the 128 banks operating in the West African Monetary Union (WAMU) according to the 2020 annual report and the market capitalization of CBI SA as of December 31, 2021 amounts to 336 billion against 259 2 billion at the end of 2020, thus making it the second largest market capitalization of the WAMU Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM).

« The 2022 fiscal year is shaping up to be one of new challenges on the socio-economic front. There is no doubt that with the combined efforts of all committed actors, Coris Bank International SA will succeed, once again, in producing better performances », announced the bank at the end of the shareholders’ AGM.

As a reminder, Coris Bank International SA has been present in Niger since December 2019 through a branch which continues its development with the opening of an Islamic branch Coris Baraka as well as several branches in Niamey and most recently in Maradi, the economic capital of Niger. country.
